Coming off last week’s loss to the Eagles, we really needed a win this week.  We felt great as 78,500 fans were cheering for us as we ran on to the field at the New Meadowlands.  This was an important game for us, and I knew that the way we were playing in that first half was not going to get us a ‘W’.   Down by 11 at halftime, I needed to remind myself and the team what was at stake with just a few games left in the season.

I gave a little pep talk to the team in the locker room at halftime and it seemed to resonate.

Luckily, during the second half of the game our offense was able to make some big plays and score 14 points.  Our defense was recharged and with a few sacks on Garrard we were able to shut down the Jaguars’ offense.  With my half sack, I’ll be making another donation to Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy.

The team is glad we got this win, but we can’t play just one half of football.  It’s important to play our best for 60 minutes on that field.  With just five games left in the season, and three of those games against NFC East teams, we really need to stay focused and have a December to remember.

Until next week………GO GIANTS!
